Speaker Fragrance Agora
Fabio is a perfumer born in a small town on the east coast of Sardinia, where the beauty of the still wild nature inspired his path to the art of perfumery from the very beginning.
He graduated with honours in Biology from the University of Cagliari with a specialisation in botany and a degree in Herbal Science and Technology from the Faculty of Pharmacy with a thesis on extractive chemistry and characterisation of natural extracts.
At the same University, he was a lecturer for the course ‘Certified Quality’. He deepened his study of extractive sciences, gas chromatography, cosmetological sciences and perfumery between the lavender fields in Provence and the Parisian laboratories and then landed at the FLORENCE FRAGRANCE SCHOOL.
A registered Biologist, since 2018 he has been a laboratory manager for cosmetic, make-up and perfumery research and development between Sardinia and Milan.
In 2018, he won second prize in the international competition OSA! Outsider Scent Awards with the fragrance ‘Learn Something Different’ inspired by Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice Beyond the Looking Glass’, a colourful fragrance evoking imaginary flowers and lysergic scenarios. The fragrance also received a special award from the Adjiumi jury.
In 2019 Fabio founds the independent studio Preparazioni Olfattive where he offers various brands his advice, experience and creativity for the development of exclusive fragrances.
In 2020 he signs the entire line of Toscane Bramasole fragrances, conceived from the imagery of the journeys of the first Renaissance alchemists from Tuscany through Europe.
His book ‘Applied Perfumery’ was an unexpected success, becoming the first study text on composition in perfumery sold in Italy.
